Fall Favorites and Freebies--Just Reed!

Hi Guys!  It's Ashley from Just Reed!  I'm so excited to tell you about some of my Fall Favorites...and even share a few FREEBIES with you!! :)
justreed-ashley.blogspot.com

I am a HUGE fan of Fall.  In fact, it's my favorite season, followed by Spring!

A few reasons I love Fall...
1. Colorful Leaves
2.  Cooler Temps
3.  Football
4.  Pumpkins
5. Fun Curriculum Opportunities....Columbus Day, Fire Safety, Halloween, Bats, Spiders, Thanksgiving, Veterans Day and more!!
6.  Fall Clothes are the cutest!

I've just finished up a {much needed} week-long Fall break!  We went to one of my favorite Georgia destinations....Lookout Mountain, GA to see Rock City!  I remember going as a child and being mesmerized.  My daughter was the same way!  She was amazed by the beauty of nature and the fresh fall air!  It was such a special time for our little family.  Here are some pics!
Don't let the tranquility of this picture fool you!  This was a 180 foot long SWINGING suspension bridge.  YIKES!!  That was tough to cross!!
OMGoodness...I just love the variety of pumpkins in the world.  Aren't these gorgeous?

We can NOW truly say....

And my daughter summed up her day like this {which I thought was a tremendous lesson in gratitude and optimism for all of us "big kids!"}:

Now that you've learned about a few of my Fall Favorites, let me share some Fall Freebies!

I think it's super important to teach children Halloween safety.  Most of our students will go trick or treating, and we can't assume their parents will go over safety rules with them.  I don't want any of my babies hurt on what's supposed to be a fun night!  So I put together this Halloween safety book for teachers to do the week before Halloween!   Check out the pages of the booklet HERE!  You can grab it by clicking below:

I also made a fun little FREE poem so you can give your students a glow stick and some candy before they head out to trick or treat!

 Grab the poem HERE!

Hope you enjoyed these FREEBIES!

Fall Favorites and a Freebie - True Life I'm a Teacher

Happy Fall, Y'all! I don't ever get tired of saying that!!! It's Theresa from True Life I'm a Teacher!

I LOVE fall! Being from Florida, I never really experienced fall growing up...but I would see pictures of the most gorgeous trees with deep red, purple, orange, and golden trees, and I knew that fall was my favorite season. Can I just say, Fall hasn't disappointed me yet! PLUS, here at the Primary Peach, we're talking about our fall favorites, sharing freebies, oh, and having a GIVEAWAY!
You're going to want to scroll to the end of this post to enter our giveaway for a $50 gift card to either Amazon or Teachers Pay Teachers (the winner gets to choose!)
What's not to love about Fall? PSL's (that's pumpkin spice lattes for you non-coffee drinkers), sweaters, boots, no humidity, changing leaves, pumpkin everything, soups, Halloween, cool, crisp weather, windows open, fuzzy socks, pumpkin everything, scarves, football, oh and have I mentioned pumpkin everything?!
I love children's books of pretty much any variety, but there's something extra special about fall-themed picture books! You can read descriptions of all the books here.
I also really love decorating for fall!
The BEST Autumn candle ever! I buy these 4 (or more!) at a time (they go on sale, plus I usually have a coupon), and probably go through a candle every 1-2 weeks. It's that great! Yum!
This year, my husband and I went apple picking for the first time, and it was such a fun experience! The weather was just as perfect as the view!
What's better than Fall? Nothing, actually! Haha! But freebies come close! My freebie is actual all about giving back and giving thanks to the military. Both of my grandpa's served in the military, along with my father-in-law. I tend to get emotional when I think of all those who have served or are currently serving in the military have sacrificed for all I hold near and dear.

Nothing I could say or do, would ever be enough to show my appreciation, however, I do think that taking time out to write heartfelt letters with my students is a start.

Each year, a local radio station launches a HUGE campaign to ensure that every.single deployed military man and woman receives a handwritten letter for Thanksgiving.
The catch is that in order to get the letters delivered in time, they must be received by the radio station no later than October 30.
The best part, though, is that this is literally a 1-lesson activity. In other words, just use it for ONE of your writing blocks sometime between now and the end(ish) of October. Read more about it here.
Don't forget to enter for your chance to win a $50 gift card to either Amazon or TpT - winner's choice!

Fall Favorites and Freebies- Teaching with Crayons and Curls

Happy Fall Y'all! It's Chandra from Teaching with Crayons and Curls and I am so happy be sharing some of my fall favorites and a freebie with y'all! And today is the last day of our first giveaway this month! Make sure to enter for you choice of a TPT or Amazon gift card!

Fall is my absolute favorite season! The weather is starting to get cooler- it's not too hot and not too cold, there is pumpkin iced coffee, fun festivals, fabulous fall fashion, football, and it doesn't hurt that I get to celebrate my birthday!

I love fall so much that I celebrate in AND out of the classroom!

Weekends in the fall are totally meant for fun festivals with your family and fried Twinkies, right!?

One of my ALL TIME favorite activities during the entire year is our Pumpkin Parade! Doesn't that sound like so much fun!?

Students are instructed to turn a pumpkin into their favorite book character and complete a book report. It's a great activity that is completed at home! Then, I invite families into our classroom to view our pumpkins and students put on little presentations. Seriously, this is one of those activities that students still remember at the end of the year!

And, of course I can't forget about this fun fall activity!

This fun, fall freebie is the perfect compliment to the book Spookley the Square Pumpkin by Joe Troiano! It's a simple pumpkin craft that turns into a little book! It also has a writing prompt included!

It also makes the cutest bulletin board display for fall!

And, you can't leave before entering our giveaway! Today is the final day of our first giveaway this month! Enter below to win your choice of a TPT giftcard OR Amazon gift card!

Fall Favorites & Freebies from The Extra Energetic Educator

Happy Fall y'all!
It's Jennifer, The Extra Energetic Educator!
I'm here to bring you ....

I hope that you all are enjoying the wonderful fall favorites and freebies from the Primary Peaches!

Don't you just love the cool, crisp air when fall begins?  I do!  I'm looking forward to a break from the Georgia heat!  One of my favorite things about fall is HOT CHOCOLATE!  I never drink any hot drinks until the cool weather hits.  I love to snuggle with the kids, watch movies and sip on hot chocolate.  During school breaks and weekends, I like to throw some hot chocolate in the crockpot so that we can sip and enjoy it throughout the day.  Here's a simple but sweet crockpot recipe for hot chocolate....

Crockpot Hot Chocolate

6 cups milk
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2  cups whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups of chocolate chips
(milk chocolate OR semi-sweet)
My kids love the milk chocolate!
The sweeter the better, huh!

Instructions
Stir all ingredients together in a crockpot.
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
Stir occasionally.  It's ready when the mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted.
Top with marshmallows if you like!

Disclaimer!!!
I'm definitely not "Susie the Homemaker"!  When the above ingredients are not available at home, I'm all about emptying some packets of hot chocolate into the crockpot!  Hee hee hee!

I also want to share a fall freebie with you!

Halloween is just around the corner so here's a sweet treat for your students!  SPOOKtacular Subtraction can be used to review multi-digit subtraction. Numbers range from 3-6 digits.  Enjoy!
