"Sneak a Peek" With a Peach! {Prepping for the Primary Gridiron}

Hi Peach friends!  I'm Dana from Prepping
for the Primary Gridiron.  I'm excited to be
next up in our fabulous "Sneak a Peek" series!

I teach 1st grade in a suburb of Atlanta.
I have 24 kiddos this year.  It's my
11th year teaching (with 8 years in
1st and 3 years in 3rd).  First grade
is definitely where my passion lies!

Here's a sneak into my classroom:

This is a shot of my reading area:

This is also where I have my
ABC line and word wall.

This area is where I house my Reading
and Math centers.  I also display my groups
here as well.  This is also my laptop charging
area.  My listening center (aka that awesome
boom box) is here as well.

Here's an up close shot of the laptop
charging area and listening center:

This is where my kiddos keep their individual
school supplies.  Each bin is labeled with a
number.  Each kiddos has a specific number.
This keeps their supplies neat and organized.
You can snag the labels {HERE}.

These positive quotes have been a huge success
with our classroom community and behavior!
You can snag them {HERE}.

This is a closer look at my groups chart.
It has really helped having their necessary
materials listed next to each center.

This is my FAVORITE area of our classroom!
These are my kiddos' book boxes.  I got them
from Really Good Stuff and we LOVE them!

I organized the books using binder clips
and colored stickers.  It makes my
Guided Reading groups run smoothly!

I set it up and organized the area.

This is such a sweet part of my classroom:

We created this at the beginning of the year.  I made
sure my students understand (and still understand)
just how much I love them!  Click {HERE} to

I hope you enjoyed my classroom tour!
Be sure to keep coming back throughout
the month of September for more fabulous
"Sneak a Peek" posts from the Peaches!
